Cluster buses on Route no. 219 STL now!

Passengers from South and West Delhi would now be able to avail the services of the orange coloured Delhi Transit buses (cluster buses) on route number 448 starting Thursday, 1th August 2013. The buses on route no. 448 will be inaugurated by Choudhary Prem Singh, Honourable MLA at Handard Nagar/ Ambedkar Nagar terminal at 10 a.m. The orange buses on route no 448 will operate under cluster- 2 with 13 buses, making the total number of cluster buses 631.
DIMTS as the Integrated Mechanism will monitor the operation of the buses under this cluster on behalf of Government of Delhi. Indraprastha Logistics Private Limited is the government’s concessionaire for this cluster that will operate the fleet of the buses and drivers.
The orange bus on route no. 448 will commence its journey from Hamdard Nagar and end at Punjabi Bagh Terminal. It will go via the bus stops - Ambedkar Nagar (T), Sheikh Sarai II, Khirki Village, Begampur, Sarvpriya Vihar (Panchsheel Club), IIT Gate, IIT Hostel, R.K. Puram Sector-1, South Moti Bagh (Ring Road), Dhaula Kuan, R.R. Lines, Barar Square, Naraina Village, Mayapuri Chowk (Ring Road), Raja Garden/ Rajdhani College and Punjabi Bagh Club.
These buses will also provide connectivity to the Malviya Nagar metro station and Hauz Khas metro station on yellow line.
The Delhi Transit buses under cluster 2 are semi-low floor and equipped with GPS, internal audio-visual announcement of approaching bus stops and electronic ticketing machines. Like in all Delhi Transit buses, the route and destination of each bus will be displayed externally on three electronic boards on the front, rear and on the left hand side of the bus respectively.
All Delhi Transit buses under cluster 2 will be parked at Kushak Nallah Depot. The depot has a capacity for 232 buses.
